“Man, sometimes it takes you a long time to sound like yourself” - Miles Davis

I am a reformed malcontent who has taught myself to see the truth, which is that incredible things are happening everywhere, all the time.

Growing up in a rowdy Irish Catholic family as one of nine siblings (six brothers!) I had to learn early on how to a) survive and b) stand up for myself and what I thought was right. I used that fighting spirit to propel myself into a successful career in brand communications in New York and Los Angeles, where I worked with world famous brands including Sony and Starbucks, along with a whole slew of cool startups.

And then I fell apart. After realizing I didn’t like where the ladder I was climbing was headed, I decided to take it down and build a new one toward a life that felt truer to me.

Over the next 15 years, I gradually found my path. While continuing to support myself through communications work and entrepreneurial projects, my commitment to self-discovery, meditation, movement, and writing practices in community has led me to a life that’s far from perfect but one I deeply love. Now, my calling is to help others live from a place of wholeness rather than lack, too.

I use my fighting spirit to help spread the word that while we are all just tiny, temporary specks in the universe, we are also all immensely powerful beings who are capable of much more than we think. And that cultivating our relationship with ourselves is the most meaningful work we can do — not just for ourselves, but for everyone.

In my work with clients, I draw from two deep wells: my career in strategic communications and brand strategy, and my extensive training in creative writing and spiritual development. This blend of business acumen and creative, spiritual insight allows me to skillfully guide clients through both practical and personal challenges. My approach is also rooted in my practice and training in Zen Buddhism, along with a lifelong study of myth and storytelling, which informs everything I do.

“To take care of your life is to burn the flame of your life force in everything you do.”
